Trainee Pest Control Technician
Ringwood Pest Control

About Us
Ringwood Pest Control is a family-run business providing tailor-made pest control solutions for residential and commercial properties across Dorset, Hampshire and South Wiltshire.
We pride ourselves on professionalism, high standards of workmanship, excellent customer service, and long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Trainee Pest Control Technician to join our team and learn the trade from the ground up.
The Role
This is a trainee position, ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in pest control. You will initially work alongside an experienced technician, learning all aspects of the job before progressing to running your own work.
Full training will be provided, including working towards the / RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with pest control treatments for rodents, insects and other pests
- Working in both domestic and commercial properties
- Learning how to complete detailed visit reports using company iPhone/iOS apps
- Supporting daily job scheduling and organisation
- Identifying potential proofing works and pest entry points
- Learning to provide clear advice and recommendations to clients
- Assisting with vehicle, equipment and stock management
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
- Representing the company in a professional manner
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- No previous pest control experience required (training provided)
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Comfortable using iPhones and basic apps
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and hard-working
- Positive attitude and professional manner
- Ability to work independently once trained
- Physically fit (loft work, drains, ladders required)
Salary & Progression
- Starting salary: £23,000 – £25,000 per year (depending on experience)
- Salary review upon completion of training and qualifications
- Clear progression to £28,000 – £30,000+ once fully qualified and working independently
(During training, you will be shadowing and not expected to generate revenue immediately — this is reflected in the starting salary, with clear increases as you develop.)
