Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help ensure a safe and pest-free environment for our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to safety.

Please note: This role includes a sales element, requiring you to identify and pursue opportunities to bring on new commercial contracts, in addition to promoting relevant services to existing clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and potential entry points.
• Develop and implement effective pest control strategies tailored to individual client needs.
• Apply pesticides and other treatments in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatments applied and follow-up recommendations.
• Educate clients on pest prevention measures and best practices for maintaining a pest-free environment.
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries and concerns, providing exceptional service at all times.
• Identify and recommend additional services where appropriate to meet client needs.
• Proactively seek and secure new commercial contracts, including conducting site assessments and building client relationships.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pest control or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
• Comfortable engaging in sales conversations and identifying commercial growth opportunities.
• A valid manual driver's licence is required for travel between job sites.
• Ability to pass background checks and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Basic knowledge of pest biology and behaviour is advantageous.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional weekends.

Pay: £24,500.00–£28,000.00 per year
