Urban Hawks are looking for the right person to join our specialist team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a very individual and specialist company in the pest control sector.

If you are tired of box checking and want to further your skills and experience to expand your career in other areas of the industry, then we have the role for you.

We want the right person to join our team and grow along with the company. You will be based from home whilst supported from our office in Widnes and rewarded with a competitive salary and uncapped commission, overtime and bonuses.

You will receive ongoing support, training and provided with a fully expensed company vehicle and IPhone which can be used for private use on request.

Urban Hawks provide a comprehensive range of pest control services to high calibre clients throughout the Northwest and UK. Our fumigation and bird control sections provide specialist services to many industries.

You will support our bird control and fumigation technicians whilst having the opportunity to develop your skills in one of these specialist areas.

You will be undertaking reactive and programmed visits to both commercial and domestic properties throughout the North West. You must have experience to plan your route and time effectively whilst servicing a small portfolio of contracts around the north west where you will be given the time to undertake treatments safe and effectively.

We are looking for someone who is a team player who is likeable, self-motivated and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. You will be joining a company that cares about all team members, their wellbeing and wants you to feel motivated and happy at work.

A full UK driving licence is essential and the successful candidate will undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.

Appointments will be subject to references, valid licences/certification held and satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period.

Please note that this position advertised is for a full-time employee, sub-contractors and part-time applicants will not be considered.

Key skills

  • Confidently & effectively undertake scheduled bird & pest control inspections at different client’s premises around the North West.
  • Excellent customer and communication skills.
  • Possess a good understanding of onsite health and safety, CSCS certification would be beneficial.
  • Membership of a CPD scheme for the previous 3 years (BPCA Registered or BASIS Prompt).
  • Respond to reactive job requests for service and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team installing bird and pest proofing measures.
  • Support our fumigation technicians in the field by assisting on jobs.
  • Identification of pests and select correct course of action.
  • Ability to complete job reports and risk assessments which provide clients with a full description of what and why you have taken these actions to control pests.
  • Provide hygiene and pest proofing recommendations.
  • Look for sales opportunities and provide leads.
  • Maintain and monitor stock levels within your company vehicle.
  • Maintain the standard of your vehicle and its contents.
  • Be presentable and approachable.
  • Over time and occasional nights away will be required where all accommodation and meals will be paid for by the company and a night allowance payable.
  • Experience in all aspects of pest management works including rodents, wasps, ants, flies, bedbugs, fleas, textile pests, stored product insects and bird proofing.

To be considered for this role, you will need to:

Essentials:

  • Be qualified to RSPH/BPCA Level 2 or higher.
  • Experience of installing bird proofing systems.
  • Have 3 year or more field experience
  • Based in the Merseyside / Warrington area.
  • Have a full clean UK driving licence

Desirables:

· Experience working with Birds of prey.

· Experience working in fumigation.

· CSCS Certification

Requirements

  • Experience using web-based IT reporting systems, emails and smart phone apps.

· Willingness to undertake overtime

· Travel around UK is required from time to time including occasional overnight stays.

  • Basic salary: £25,397 - £30,000 dependant on experience & qualifications
  • OTE: £30,000 - £35,000 (Basic salary + commission, overtime and bonuses)
