Full job description
Nurture Pest Control is one of Britain’s leading providers for Pest Control. Operating since 1980 we provide control services to the commercial, domestic and public sectors, dealing effectively with all types of pest and bird problems. We hold the Queen’s Royal Warrant for pest control services.
We are looking for a Pest Control Team Leader to join our service team based in the Kent area.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Setting a good example in attitude and approach.
- Providing leadership for the team.
- Motivating team members to be the best they can be.
- Showing energy and enthusiasm in everything you do.
- Driving improvements in Quality, Productivity and Sales.
- Talking to team members about their strengths and weaknesses, and being a mentor to help them develop.
- Keeping track of the whereabouts of all team members and reallocating resource where needed.
- Making sure that all call outs get covered within the teams area.
- Working with service control to ensure all jobs are completed and invoiced.
- Checking time sheets, and using information to drive improvements in productivity.
- Submitting SOS and Productivity Figures.
- Reviewing rounds and finding the best way to allocate contracts between team members.
- Encouraging team members to be creative and share their ideas.
- Ensuring the team members follow company procedures regarding personal appearance, shaving etc.
- Coming up with new and innovative ways to do things.
- Striving for continual improvement.
- Making sure that no contracts slip through the net.
- Holding structured team meetings that help to drive performance and morale within the team.
- Working with team members individually on a regular basis, to help provide training and ensure they are following company procedures.
- Collating Overtime Figures and submitting them on time each month to allow payment.
- Ensuring figures are accurate.
- Ensuring that job work is completed on time.
- Making sure that all the vehicles in the team are clean, tidy and well looked after. Completing vehicle inspections for each team member once every three months.
- Ensuring that my team members follow correct health and safety procedures.
- Carrying out face fit testing to ensure respirators fit correctly and are effective.
- Working with sales team to ensure job work is completed on time and new efks, bait stations etc are delivered within 1 week of order.
- Ensuring new contracts are set up in a sensible time frame - max 1 week from signing service agreement.
- Working with team members to ensure they are following the correct procedures for administration, and using their tablets correctly.
- Training new technicians (in conjunction with the Technical Team).
- Liaising with RTSO's to ensure that effective action is taken at problem sites.
- Assisting with interviews for new technicians.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a Full Driving license.
- Have excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Qualification - RSPH Level 2 Pest control.
- Have the ability to work effectively and independently.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Be experienced Pest control in leadership or senior technician.
