The Role

The Akessa Healthcare Group is seeking a creative and talented Videographer to support content creation across both hospital sites.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who can capture high-quality video content that informs, reassures and engages patients while showcasing the expertise, facilities and services available across our hospitals.

The successful candidate will travel between The New Foscote Hospital and The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital, working closely with clinical teams, consultants, marketing and operational colleagues to produce a wide range of video content.

From patient reassurance videos and consultant interviews to hospital tours and behind-the-scenes content, you will play a key role in bringing our healthcare services to life through professional storytelling.

The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital was established in Aylesbury in 1832 and has provided services and treatments to thousands of people from across the region. The ownership of the hospital was transferred to our new management team in January 2023. By joining our existing portfolio, the hospital is now run professionally and provides clinical care to private, insured and NHS patients, with a strong ethos on caring for our staff.

107 Harley Street, is an outpatient, diagnostic and day-case facility. The Group has had a presence in the Harley Street area since 2010. The treatments offered at this facility includes oral and maxillofacial surgery, dermatology, orthodontics and specialist dentistry, plastic and cosmetic surgery, general surgery and rheumatology.

The clinical outcomes of the hospital group are of the highest standards and the latest CQC report rated our hospital standards as ‘good’ across all parameters. Our organisation has strong IT, operational, clinical governance and accountancy support. All colleagues are encouraged to feel empowered and to have an active voice on the management of their services.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging video content across both hospital sites.
  • Film patient reassurance videos, consultant interviews, hospital tours and staff profiles.
  • Plan, film, edit and deliver high-quality videoproductions.
  • Operate cameras, lighting and audio equipment.
  • Conduct professional interviews with consultants, clinicians and staff.
  • Create content for websites, social media, campaigns and internal communications.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to plan filming schedules and content requirements.
  • Ensure all content reflects the quality, values and professionalism of Akessa Healthcare Group.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure all filming follows consent requirements.

Main Duties and Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the full video production process from planning through to final delivery.
  • Maintain organised footage libraries and production files.
  • Keep up to date with current video trends and digital content formats.
  • Support wider marketing and communications activity when required.
  • Maintain professional relationships with patients, consultants, visitors and colleagues.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures and professional standards.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions where required.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Quality and engagement of video content produced.
  • Delivery of content within agreed timescales.
  • Feedback from consultants, patients and colleagues.
  • Consistency of brand messaging across all content.
  • Contribution to improving patient understanding and experience.

Essential Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience in videography and videoproduction.
  • Strong filming, lighting and audio skills.
  • Experience using professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience creating content for digital platforms and social media.
  • Ability to manage projects from concept through to completion.
  • Ability to travel between hospital sites.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a videographer, content creator or similar role.
  • Experience producing professional video content.
  • Experience filming interviews and working with people on camera.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements when filming in professional environments.
  • Healthcare or medical content experience would be desirable.
