We are looking for a talented, confident and personable photographer to join our busy, award-winning photography studio.

Eileen Mason Photography has been established for over 40 years and has built an excellent reputation for high-quality portrait photography and exceptional customer service. Our photographers have won numerous national and international awards, and we work from a large, stylish and professionally equipped studio in Walsall.

This is not a role where you will photograph the same thing day after day.

Our sessions include boudoir and makeover photography, dogs and pets, children, couples and family groups, so we are looking for someone who enjoys people, has plenty of personality and can adapt quickly to very different subjects.

The person we are looking for

Photography ability is important, but personality is equally important.

Our photographers spend a great deal of time talking to clients, putting nervous people at ease, making children laugh, persuading dogs to look in the right direction and helping clients feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera.

You should therefore be:

● Smart and well presented

● Friendly, outgoing and personable

● A confident communicator with excellent spoken English

● Comfortable working with people of all ages

● Patient and good-humoured

● Creative, enthusiastic and full of ideas

● Able to work as part of a busy professional team

● Reliable and committed to providing excellent customer service

Previous professional studio photography experience would be a definite advantage, particularly experience with studio lighting and posing. However, because our style of photography is quite specialised, we are happy to provide training to the right person with good photographic ability, creativity and the right personality.

We encourage our photographers to be creative and develop their own ideas, while always remembering that ultimately we are creating photographs that our clients will love and want to display in their homes.

About us

We employ a team of around 15 people, including photographers, photographic assistants, reception, telephone and sales staff.

We have been photographing generations of families for more than four decades and have established ourselves at the higher end of the portrait photography market. Our clients expect both excellent photography and a warm, professional experience from the moment they arrive.

We are currently interested in hearing from photographers looking for:

Freelance work

Pay will start at the appropriate minimum wage for candidates requiring substantial training, with higher rates available for photographers with relevant professional studio experience and proven ability.

If you are already an experienced studio photographer, we would particularly like to hear from you and would be happy to discuss remuneration based on your experience.

Pay: £25,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
