Full job description

Multi-Skilled Live Stream Operator (Freelance)

Company Overview

Cellcast TV operates live creator and entertainment studios supporting live streaming, interactive broadcasting and creator-led content production.

We operate within the adult entertainment industry, so applicants must be comfortable working in an environment where adult content may be created, broadcast or discussed as part of normal day-to-day operations.

About The Role

Live streaming is not just someone sitting on camera or behind a computer. Behind every good live stream is a live operational environment that needs to run smoothly in real time.

We’re looking for Multi-Skilled Live Stream Operators to support the day-to-day running of our busy live creator studios.

This is a practical, fast-moving role within a wider live operation, with multiple people working together across the studio floor.

No two shifts are necessarily the same. Depending on what is happening in the studio, some may lean more towards technical support, live production, creator support or general studio operations.

The role is deliberately broad. We’re not expecting everyone to arrive knowing how to do everything. What matters is being adaptable, comfortable in a live environment and willing to build confidence across different areas over time.

What The Role Involves

Depending on the shift and your experience, work may include:

  • Assisting creators with live stream setup and operational support
  • Monitoring stream continuity and quality during live sessions
  • Troubleshooting technical and operational issues in real time
  • Supporting room moves, live transitions and changes to stream setups
  • Assisting with cameras, audio, lighting, layouts and stream systems
  • Preparing rooms and equipment ahead of live sessions
  • Helping maintain operational and studio standards across the floor
  • Supporting uploads, routing, internal systems and studio workflows
  • Identifying and escalating technical faults or operational risks
  • Supporting wider live production and studio requirements during busy periods

Multi-Skilled Environment

Being multi-skilled does not mean we expect every operator to master every part of the studio immediately.

Some operators join us with experience in particular areas. Others develop broader skills through hands-on experience, internal training and working alongside more experienced members of the operation.

Over time, operators may gain experience across areas including:

  • Live stream operations
  • Creator support
  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Cameras and audio
  • Studio operations
  • Live production support
  • Stream systems and layouts
  • Operational coordination
  • Live television broadcast support

The studio works best when operators are adaptable, collaborative and comfortable supporting different parts of the live environment when needed.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who:

  • Stay calm when things change or problems happen during a live session
  • Enjoy solving practical problems in real time
  • Can adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment
  • Communicate clearly and practically
  • Work well as part of a wider studio team
  • Take pride in maintaining good operational standards
  • Are willing to learn new systems, equipment and workflows
  • Are comfortable working around adult creators and adult content

Previous experience within live streaming, production, broadcast, technical support, creator environments, studio operations or similar live operational environments is helpful, but not essential.

We also welcome applicants with transferable technical or operational skills who are interested in developing within a live studio environment.

Freelance Rates

Freelance rates are £13–£14.50 per hour, depending on operational experience and skill level.

Operators who build broader skills and are able to confidently support multiple areas of the live operation may be offered work at higher rate brackets.

Location & Shift Availability

This role is primarily based at our Milton Keynes studio.

Freelance shifts are available across:

  • Daytime
  • Evenings
  • Overnight
  • Weekends

Shift availability varies depending on studio activity and operational requirements.

There are also opportunities for London-based operators to pick up additional shifts at our London studio.

Where operators choose to take London Studio work, we offer an additional rate of pay for working at the London location.

London Studio work is optional and provide an opportunity for operators who want to pick up additional work and gain experience across both studio locations.

Please Note

This role operates within the adult entertainment industry. Applicants must be comfortable working professionally around adult creators and in environments where adult content may be created, broadcast or discussed.

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
