Art & Photography Teacher

Bridgwater Area, Somerset
Full Time | Temp-to-Perm
MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner if available)

Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Bridgwater area to recruit a talented and creative Art & Photography Teacher.

This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking department, delivering inspiring lessons that encourage creativity, expression, and technical skill.

The Role

You will teach Art and Photography across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their creative voice and confidence while building strong practical skills.

The role will involve:

  • Delivering engaging and high-quality Art & Photography lessons
  • Encouraging experimentation with a range of media and techniques
  • Developing students' visual literacy and critical thinking
  • Supporting students to explore their own creative identity
  • Contributing to a collaborative and high-performing Art & Design department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Art and/or Photography at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A creative and engaging teaching style
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts
  • A team-focused approach and willingness to contribute
  • A belief that every student can succeed

Please note: This role is not suitable for ECTs.
