Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

Working arrangement: In-office

Apprenticeship: Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3

Qualification: Free CIM Foundation Certificate in Professional Marketing

About our client

We’re working with an established and growing British baby and children’s brand based in Kendal that is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Social Media & Marketing Apprentice to join its team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start and develop a career in social media and marketing. Previous marketing experience is not essential. What matters most is creativity, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in social media, content and brands.

You’ll work closely with an experienced team, learning about different areas of social media and marketing while being encouraged to contribute your own ideas and gradually develop your confidence and independence.

As part of a small and busy team, you’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in a broad range of projects and gain practical, hands-on marketing experience.

Why Apply?

This isn’t an apprenticeship where you’ll simply be watching from the sidelines. You’ll be supported to become involved in real campaigns, product launches, social content and marketing projects while developing your skills throughout the apprenticeship.

Working within a small team will give you exposure to a broad range of marketing activities and the opportunity to see the impact of the work you contribute to.

Our client is looking for someone who can develop and grow with the role, building their confidence, creativity and marketing knowledge over time.

What You’ll Be Learning & Doing

As a Social Media & Marketing Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of marketing activities, including:

· Helping to create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube

· Creating photos, videos, Reels, Stories and other on-trend social content

· Helping to plan and schedule social media content around product launches, campaigns, events and key dates

· Learning how to grow engagement and build an active online community

· Keeping up with social media trends, sounds, content styles and new platform features

· Supporting work with influencers, content creators and brand ambassadors

· Supporting campaigns involving licensed brands and collaboration partners

· Helping to create and write press releases for launches, awards and company news

· Writing engaging blog content for company websites

· Learning how to use new marketing and AI tools to improve creativity, productivity and engagement

· Monitoring competitors and identifying new trends and content opportunities

· Helping to track social media and marketing performance and understand what content works best

· Creating point-of-sale materials to support wholesale customers

· Helping to design adverts and creative materials for trade magazines and marketing campaigns

· Supporting the wider team with new ideas and creative projects

What We’re Looking For

Our client is looking for potential, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, rather than someone who already knows everything.

Ideally, you will have:

· Have the right to live and work in the UK

· Have achieved GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent

· Ideally be educated to A-level, Level 3 or above, particularly in relevant or complementary subjects such as Marketing, Business, Media, English, Design or similar

· A genuine interest in social media, brands and digital marketing

· An interest in creating engaging photo and video content

· A good awareness of platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Facebook

· A willingness to learn new platforms, tools and marketing techniques

· An eye for current trends and what makes engaging social content

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

· Confidence to contribute your own ideas

· A proactive and positive attitude

· A willingness to develop your ability to work independently and use your own initiative

· The ability to work well as part of a small team

· A willingness to get involved in different areas of the business when required

Experience using Canva, photography, video editing or content creation would be an advantage, but training and support will be provided.

Benefits

· Casual dress

· Company events

· Company pension

· Employee discount

· Free on-site parking

· Health and wellbeing programme

· Hands-on training and development

· Opportunity to develop your career within a growing British brand

If you’re creative, enthusiastic, full of ideas and excited to start a career in social media and marketing, we’d love to hear from you.
