Social Media & Content Marketing Executive (Lead Generation Training Provided)
Location: Northampton – 4 Brookfield, Duncan Close, Moulton Park Industrial Estate, NN3 6WL
Reports to: Senior Marketing Strategy Lead
Experience Level: Entry-Level (0–2 Years)
Employment Type: Full-Time Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm)
Holiday: 20 Days + 8 Bank Holidays (28 Total)

ATEX Premier Cleaning delivers specialist industrial cleaning services, equipment sales, hire solutions, and vacuum servicing to manufacturing and industrial environments across the UK.

We help facilities reduce cleaning costs, improve safety, maintain compliance, and minimise operational disruption through innovative high-level cleaning systems and professional industrial solutions.

We are expanding our marketing function and looking for a creative, organised, and ambitious Marketing Assistant to support our continued growth.

Role Overview

The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Senior Marketing Strategy Lead to deliver high-quality content, support digital campaigns, and maintain consistent marketing output across all channels.

This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing career who wants hands-on experience across:

  • Social media content creation
  • Short-form video production
  • Email marketing
  • Website content
  • Digital campaigns
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Lead generation (training provided)

You will be responsible for producing three social media posts per day, building monthly content calendars, supporting email campaigns, and assisting with wider marketing activity.

You will also receive structured training in Lead Generation, including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Paid Social.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Content

  • Create engaging graphics, videos, carousels, and short-form content
  • Write clear, accurate, on-brand copy for all platforms
  • Produce and schedule three posts per day across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Build monthly content calendars and schedule content in advance
  • Highlight services, equipment, projects, results, educational content, and company updates
  • Monitor comments and messages, escalating enquiries where needed
  • Identify trends, awareness days, and industry topics
  • Maintain consistent tone of voice and visual identity

Email Marketing

  • Design and build newsletters, promotional mailers, and product/service campaigns
  • Write subject lines, preview text, body copy, and calls to action
  • Prepare campaigns for review and approval
  • Schedule campaigns and perform quality checks
  • Manage mailing lists, segments, and templates
  • Track open rates, click-through rates, and enquiries

Content and Website Support

  • Assist with blog posts, case studies, brochures, product sheets, and newsletters
  • Upload and update content using WordPress
  • Prepare and organise images, videos, and digital assets
  • Proofread marketing materials for accuracy and consistency
  • Support content explaining technical industrial subjects clearly
  • Keep product, service, and company information up to date

Campaign and Event Support

  • Assist with marketing campaigns, promotions, and service launches
  • Coordinate brochures, banners, signage, and promotional items
  • Help organise photography, video shoots, and project documentation
  • Maintain an organised digital asset library
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers

Data and Reporting

  • Track website traffic, social media performance, and email results
  • Prepare regular reports showing key trends and opportunities
  • Maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and content calendars
  • Identify high-performing content and support future planning
  • Ensure accurate recording of campaign data

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Support the Senior Marketing Strategy Lead with daily tasks
  • Manage deadlines, schedules, meetings, and action lists
  • Gather information from other departments
  • Maintain accurate records of completed and planned activity
  • Assist with additional marketing projects as required

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential

  • 0–2 years experience in marketing, content creation, admin, retail, or similar
  • Degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Creative eye for clean, professional visual content
  • Ability to write for different audiences and platforms
  • Strong organisation and time-management
  • Ability to manage high-volume content output
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Willingness to learn industrial cleaning, ATEX environments, and specialist equipment
  • Ability to take feedback and revise work accurately

Desirable

  • Experience creating content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok
  • Email newsletter or promotional mailer experience
  • Basic video editing skills
  • Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS
  • Experience with scheduling tools
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing metrics
  • Experience in B2B, industrial, construction, facilities management, or ecommerce
  • Basic SEO knowledge

Experience with or willingness to learn:
