Marketing & Design Assistant

About the Role

As Marketing & Design Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting national and local marketing activity across our growing network of 160+ stores. You'll help bring campaigns to life through creative design, effective communication, and excellent project coordination, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our brand.

Working closely with the Brand Manager, and Design Lead, you'll support franchisees, suppliers, and internal departments while contributing fresh ideas to help drive customer engagement and sales.

What You'll Do

Design & Creative

  • Assist with the design and production of marketing materials for both print and digital channels.
  • Create and amend menus, flyers, posters, vouchers, window graphics, digital screens, and point-of-sale materials.
  • Produce engaging creative assets for social media, email marketing, websites, and paid advertising.
  • Ensure all creative work follows our brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity.
  • Support artwork updates for new product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.

Marketing Campaigns

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of national and local marketing campaigns.
  • Help deliver campaign assets to over 160 franchise locations, ensuring materials are accurate and distributed on time.
  • Assist with campaign calendars and marketing schedules.
  • Monitor campaign timelines and ensure projects are completed within deadlines.

Franchise Support

  • Be a key marketing contact for franchisees, providing guidance, artwork, and campaign support.
  • Assist stores with local marketing initiatives tailored to their local communities.
  • Support new store openings by coordinating launch marketing materials and promotional activity.
  • Gather feedback from stores to improve future campaigns.

Digital Marketing

  • Support the management of our social media channels by creating and scheduling content.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and customer communications.
  • Help maintain website content, promotional pages, and digital assets.
  • Monitor online reviews and customer feedback where required.

Content Creation

  • Assist in organising and coordinating product photography and video shoots.
  • Help create engaging photo and video content for social media and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain an organised library of approved brand assets.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Monitor campaign performance using marketing data and analytics tools.
  • Produce simple reports highlighting campaign results, customer engagement, and recommendations.
  • Support the collection of franchise feedback and customer insights.

Supplier & Agency Management

  • Liaise with printers, designers, photographers, and external agencies.
  • Obtain quotations and monitor production timelines.
  • Ensure marketing materials are delivered accurately and on schedule.

General Marketing Support

  • Assist with day-to-day marketing administration.
  • Support the wider marketing team with ad hoc projects and promotional activities.
  • Keep marketing assets, files, and documentation organised and up to date.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging marketing opportunities.

What You'll Bring

  • 2-4 years' experience in a marketing, graphic design, or creative role.
  • Experience within food, hospitality, retail, or franchising is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
  • Experience with Canva and other digital design platforms is advantageous.
  • Understanding of print production and digital marketing.
  • Basic knowledge of social media management platforms.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp or Klaviyo) is desirable.
  • An understanding of local marketing and multi-site businesses.
  • Strong creative flair with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude with strong organisational skills.
  • Confidence working with franchisees, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Basic photography or videography skills.
  • Experience using Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, or similar reporting tools.
  • Basic video editing skills using Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of current food, hospitality, and social media trends.
  • A full UK driving licence with occasional travel to stores, events, or photoshoots.
