Warehouse Picker & Packer – Temporary Seasonal Roles

Bury | End of September – End of December | Temporary

Who are we?

Beerhunter is a family-run online retailer based in Bury, founded in 2016. We’re passionate about helping people discover more of the world of beer, bringing a huge range of beers, wines and spirits together under one roof and getting them safely and quickly to customers’ doors.

Our busiest time of year is coming up, and we’re looking for energetic, reliable and hardworking people to join our warehouse team for the festive season.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be part of the team responsible for getting customer orders picked, packed and out of the door accurately and on time.

The role includes:

  • Picking and packing a variety of time-sensitive beer, wine and spirit orders.
  • Working to hourly productivity and accuracy targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Packing orders using the correct boxes and inserts to ensure they are packed safely, accurately and arrive undamaged.
  • Palletising and wrapping completed orders correctly.
  • Pre-packing products ahead of busy trading periods.
  • Keeping the warehouse and packing areas clean, tidy and safe.
  • Supporting with returns and other warehouse tasks when required.
  • Following all health & safety procedures.

What we’re looking for

This is a physical, hands-on role, so you’ll need to be comfortable being on your feet, walking and lifting throughout the day. Some final packages can weigh up to around 20kg.

Good verbal communication is essential – this isn’t a production line. You’ll need to communicate with colleagues, take instruction and muck in as part of the team.

You’ll also need:

  • Good attention to detail and pride in getting things right.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • The ability to work at pace and hit targets.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Previous warehouse experience is useful but not essential.
