3. Site Set-Up and Clearance

  • Assist with setting up work areas and ensuring safe access to roofing and maintenance locations.
  • Load, unload and organise materials, tools and equipment.
  • Ensure appropriate measures are in place to protect the property and surrounding areas during works.
  • Remove roofing debris, waste materials and redundant components, disposing of them appropriately.
  • Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe throughout the job.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are stored securely when not in use.

4. Health and Safety

  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or any incidents immediately.
  • Only undertake work at height and other specialist tasks for which you have the appropriate training, competence and equipment.
  • Ensure work areas are left safe and secure on completion.

5. Communication and Reporting

  • Liaise with site managers, supervisors, colleagues and office staff regarding work requirements and progress.
  • Report roofing defects, additional repairs and any unexpected issues identified during inspections or works.
  • Keep the office informed of job progress, delays and any additional materials required.
