Growth & Leadership Opportunity

There is clear room to grow as the business develops. For the right person, this role can progress into a Lead Technician or operations-based role with more responsibility.

Our Mission and Values

Our mission is to restore old buildings properly, helping them breathe and preserving them for the future. Our values are growth, teamwork, integrity and forward thinking.

Why We Are Expanding Our Team

One of our technicians, who has been with us for over five years, is progressing into a Contracts Manager role. We are now looking for someone to step into the team and help us continue delivering high-quality restoration work.

About the Role

Bramley & Stone is a residential restoration contractor working on heritage and period buildings. This is a hands-on role carrying out specialist restoration and repair work, including lime plastering, lime rendering, masonry repairs, repointing, strip outs, and damp and decay remediation.

Most projects are in private residential homes, so the way you work matters. You will be expected to produce a high standard of work while treating clients, their homes and the rest of the team with care and respect.

Core Responsibilities (but not limited to)

You will take ownership of your work on site, from preparation through to a clean, high-quality finish.

  • Carry out lime plastering and rendering to a high standard so period walls are repaired using suitable breathable materials.
  • Complete repointing and masonry repairs carefully so damaged areas are restored while protecting the character of the building.
  • Carry out strip outs and general building work in a controlled way so areas are ready for the next stage of restoration.
  • Support damp and decay remediation work using the agreed methods so the cause of problems can be addressed properly.
  • Prepare work areas, materials and tools correctly so each job can be completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Work carefully in occupied homes, keeping work areas clean and communicating clearly so clients receive a professional service.
  • Follow job information dispatched through the smartphone app so the team knows what has been completed and each project stays organised.
  • Work closely with other technicians and the wider team, raising issues early so problems can be solved before they affect the job.

A Bit About You

You take pride in doing things properly and care about the details others may miss. You are comfortable working in clients' homes and understand that good service matters just as much as good workmanship.

You have:

  • Solid experience in plastering and general building or multi-trade work
  • A high standard of workmanship and strong attention to detail
  • A reliable approach and the ability to take ownership of work on site
  • Good communication skills and confidence working in clients' homes
  • The ability to travel to sites across our working area and provide suitable references

Extra Credit

(Nice to have, not essential)

  • Experience working with lime plaster and lime render
  • Experience working on heritage, listed or period properties
  • Knowledge of traditional masonry and repointing methods
  • Experience with damp, timber decay or building remediation work

How to Apply

If this role sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you.
