About the Role

South West Heating Services Ltd are looking for an experienced and motivated Domestic Plumber to join our growing team covering Devon and Cornwall.

The role will involve carrying out reactive maintenance and repair works within domestic properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard of customer service.

The successful candidate will also take part in an out-of-hours rota for emergency call out work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive plumbing maintenance and repairs within domestic properties
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
  • Attend emergency call outs as part of the rota system
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Liaise with office staff and management regarding ongoing works

Requirements

  • Proven experience in domestic plumbing maintenance and repairs
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible approach to out-of-hours call out work

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
  • Unvented Hot Water qualification
  • Water Regulations qualification
