Overview

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service. You’ll work alongside the kitchen team, supporting smooth day-to-day operations and maintaining a tidy, hygienic workspace.

Duties

• Wash and put away cookware, utensils and dishes, keeping work areas clean and clear.
• Clean kitchen surfaces and equipment, following hygiene and food-safety procedures.
• Receive and store deliveries carefully, and replenish ingredients and supplies as needed.
• Assist with basic food preparation and support cooking or serving tasks when requested.
• Your impact: Clean, ready-to-use equipment helps kitchen colleagues prepare and serve food efficiently.

Requirements

Required: You’ll need to work carefully, follow hygiene instructions, keep shared areas organised and communicate reliably with colleagues. These practical capabilities support safe, efficient kitchen work and help you respond to changing priorities during service. Preferred: Restaurant, kitchen, hotel, culinary or hospitality experience is useful, as is familiarity with food preparation, cooking or serving. Related experience can help you settle into the pace of a professional kitchen and support the team confidently.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 15.0 per week
