PPI books are beautifully crafted, and the level of service extended to customers is exceptional. We have in-house design capability, and the PPI brand is premium with authentic heritage.

As a small business with a loyal customer base and plenty of ambition to grow both in the UK and internationally, PPI is looking for a versatile Office Administrator reporting to the Accounts Manager.

Duties

  • Processing sales orders and ensuring information is accurate
  • Downloading, preparing and printing shipment labels
  • Checking orders and documentation carefully
  • Providing general administrative support across the business
  • Supporting the Office Manager, Accounts and Marketing teams
  • Data entry, filing and maintaining accurate records
  • Helping with stock and packing when required
  • Dealing with telephone enquires
  • Assisting with general office organisation
  • Attending company events from time to time
  • Taking on a variety of other tasks to support the team and the smooth running of the business

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Good computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a small team
  • A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to help with different aspects of the business
  • Experience with Sage or similar accounting/business software would be an advantage, although training will be provided for the systems used within the business.

Our products are primarily books, and although this is an office-based role, there will be occasions when you may need to assist with stock or packing, particularly during busy periods. The office is upstairs, so the role also requires you to be comfortable using stairs as part of your normal working day.

Why Join Us?

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to play an important role within a small business.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience across sales administration, operations, accounts, marketing and general office administration, while working closely with different members of the team.

If you are organised, adaptable, detail-focused and someone who likes to get stuck in, we would love to hear from you.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Employee discount
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking
