We are seeking an experienced Clinical Governance & Practice Manager to join Trust Care Management. This role is central to ensuring safe, effective, and compliant clinical practice across services, providing leadership, oversight, and professional support to clinical and care teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and governance oversight across services
  • Implement and maintain clinical governance systems, audits, and quality assurance processes
  • Oversee medication governance, incident reviews, and clinical compliance
  • Assess and authorise safe delegation of clinical tasks
  • Maintain competency records and delegation registers
  • Supervise, mentor, and support clinical and care staff
  • Support design and delivery of clinical training programmes
  • Conduct audits, observations, and practice reviews
  • Monitor clinical standards and support service improvements
  • Liaise with external professionals including GPs, nurses, and safeguarding partners
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, NMC Code, and legal frameworks
  • Provide reporting and assurance to senior leadership on clinical performance

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with active NMC registration
  • Relevant post-registration and senior clinical leadership experience
  • Experience within social care, community care, or regulated care environments
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, audits, and quality assurance
  • Experience assessing competency and supporting staff development
  • Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and NMC Code
  • Understanding of safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, and Duty of Candour
  • Ability to travel between services as required
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
