Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Pub Manager to support the daily operations of our vibrant pub. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, food and beverage service, and team leadership. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop managerial skills within a dynamic environment, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety and service quality.

Duties

  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the pub, including staff supervision and customer service delivery
  • Support in managing food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
  • Supervise and coordinate team members, fostering a positive and efficient working environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas
  • Assist with organising stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing inventory
  • Contribute to the development of menus, including food production and presentation
  • Support bar operations, including serving drinks and ensuring responsible alcohol service
  • Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Assist in training new staff members in hospitality procedures, food safety, and service standards

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with a focus on food preparation and service
  • Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management capabilities
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production and kitchen hygiene
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
  • Competence in culinary activities, including cooking and food presentation techniques
  • Experience in serving customers efficiently in a busy pub or restaurant setting
