Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Van Driver to join our House Removals team. In Hook RG29 1HA, you will be responsible for safely transporting household items and furniture to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and smooth moving experiences for our customers. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create positive impressions and contribute to a seamless moving process. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a commercial van to transport household goods, furniture, and equipment between locations.
  • Load and unload items with care, utilizing heavy lifting techniques when necessary to prevent damage or injury.
  • Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled timelines while maintaining safety standards.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery times, procedures, and any potential delays.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, packing, and organizing goods for transportation.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each job completed.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver, preferably within house removals or similar logistics environments.
  • Strong commercial driving skills with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating large vehicles.
  • Familiarity with driving regulations and safety procedures related to commercial vehicles.
  • Prior warehouse experience is advantageous, especially involving heavy lifting or manual handling tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of loading/unloading heavy items efficiently and safely.
