Full job description

The Excel Parking Group is one of the UK’s foremost car park management companies and currently has operations at over 1200 sites throughout the UK. Formed in 1994, we are a recognised and highly respected operator within the sector and we continue to strengthen our position within our highly competitive, commercial environment.

Due to our continued growth, we now require a General Labourer/Facilities Operative to expand the current complement of our busy Facilities team, whose day to day operations cover car park sites across the entire country. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, these roles will primarily involve the provision of general labour to support the prompt, efficient delivery of on-site maintenance, repairs and upgrading existing signage .The role will necessarily include regular day time travelling, additional working hours and occasional overnight stays.

Tasks will include·

  • Maintaining a professional & tidy standard across our sites nationwide ·
  • Basic landscaping and gardening, including the removal of vegetation and ‘spoil’·
  • Erecting and removal of various different types of signage ·
  • Steel sign post installations ·
  • Minor building/civil repairs such as pothole repairs, laying small concrete foundations, occasional trenching for new cable installations, painting & decorating when required
  • P&D machine installations
  • Working at heights
  • Reading and executing site plans accurately for completion of new sites

You must be a conscientious worker, highly motivated and able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail. You must also have a pride in your working day appearance and the ability to work as part of a small team. Some experience in Facilities or the Construction industry would be advantageous.

A full, clean UK manual, driving licence is required with over 5 years driving experience.

Hourly rate currently £13 -£15 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime will be available. This is based on 42.5 hours per week.
