Removal Porter
Location: Chippenham
Job Type: Full-time

About the Role
We're looking for a reliable removal porter to join our removals team in Chippenham. You'll be responsible for loading, carrying, and packing furniture and belongings with care, and helping our teams deliver a smooth move for every customer. Holding an HGV licence is preferable but not essential. It's a hands-on role that suits someone who takes pride in a job well done and works well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload furniture, boxes, and household items, ensuring everything is secured properly for transit
  • Carry out manual handling of heavy and bulky items, using correct lifting techniques
  • Pack customers' belongings carefully and efficiently
  • Represent the company professionally when dealing directly with customers

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years' removals experience, which is essential
  • A clean, valid driving licence
  • Able to carry out the physical demands of the role, which involves regular heavy lifting
  • Understanding of safe loading, unloading, and manual handling practices
  • Good communication skills and a professional, customer-friendly manner
  • Punctual, hardworking, and a strong team player

Pay: £29,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Removal Porter: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • clean driving licence (preferred)
