Event Venue Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Event Venue Manager to join our growing team. This is a middle management position, perfect for someone with a hospitality or events background who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and ensuring clients and guests are loved at every point of their planning & event journey.

The Role

As the Event Venue Manager you will play a key role in the operational delivery of events, working alongside the Events Management Team & the Senior Event & Venue Management Team to ensure the outstanding delivery of every event.

You will lead various teams during events and oversee the food & drink operations while maintaining venue presentation at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Event Operations & Guest Experience

  • Ensure the venue is presented to the highest standard at all times, particularly during venue viewings and VIP events
  • Oversee venue setup, readiness, and operational flow in line with event timelines
  • Work closely with the Event Manager and Event & Venue Team Leader to deliver smooth event days
  • Lead the team during the event alongside the management team.
  • Supervise all food and beverage services throughout events
  • Provide operational coverage of the bar, including hands-on support during peak periods and staff breaks
  • Prepare the venue for upcoming events, including pre-ordered drinks, backup ceremony spaces, and reception layouts
  • Secure the venue at the end of each event

Maintenance Management

  • Conduct regular walk arounds to identify maintenance issues and record them in the maintenance log
  • Carry out minor repairs within capability and arrange external contractors where required
  • Maintain all fixtures, fittings, furniture, and venue spaces in excellent condition

Stock & Bar Management

  • Manage all beverage stock in line with company ordering systems and stock sheets
  • Organise storage areas for efficient rotation, cleanliness, and stocktaking
  • Accept and check deliveries against delivery notes and company procedures
  • Prepare pre-ordered drinks according to client event summaries
  • Coordinate monthly stocktakes with external stocktakers
  • Complete regular operational cleaning including:
  • Water softener maintenance
  • Beer line cleaning
  • Glasswasher sanitising

Linen Management

  • Oversee all linen deliveries, storage, and handling to maintain quality and presentation
  • Ensure sufficient linen levels are maintained through supplier communication
  • Organise linen placement for venue viewings and consecutive non-event day
  • Maintain linen bins and collection areas

Cleaning & Venue Presentation

  • Maintain overall cleanliness across front and back of house areas
  • Keep outdoor service areas, yards, refuse zones, and storage spaces clean and pest-free
  • Arrange specialist cleaning services where required
  • Work closely with Event Managers to ensure venues are always viewing ready

Equipment & Asset Management

  • Manage venue equipment including bar extras, décor items, service ware, and event enhancements
  • Coordinate with Event & Venue Senior Manager when equipment sharing between venues is required & it’s return.

Team Leadership & Operational Support

  • Work closely with the Senior Event & Venue Manager to ensure full event coverage
  • Delegate tasks in line with the SOP’s and event requirements
  • Support staff training and development alongside the Training & Development Manager in company policies and procedures
  • Communicate updates and event plans to venue teams & feedback to Senior Event & Venue Managers

Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Adhere to all company Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety, and legal responsibilities
  • Uphold company culture, values, and professional standards at all times
  • Undertake additional reasonable duties as required to support business operations

Seasonal Restaurant Management

  • Manage all aspects of the seasonal restaurant service
  • Support food and beverage service within the seasonal restaurant as required.
  • Lead small teams of staff during restaurant shifts.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction, cleanliness, allergen compliance, and food safety standards.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support to staff.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about hospitality and events.

You will likely have:

  • Experience in hospitality or events
  • Strong team leadership and communication skills
  • Experience managing bar operations or food & beverage service
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to support operational tasks
  • A full UK driving licence (desirable due to multi-site travel)
