About Us:

Sunborn Yacht Hotel London is a 108-meter floating hotel incorporating 138 spacious guest rooms – all with bespoke furnishings - plus an elegant restaurant, lounge bar, and events suite offering expansive views of Canary Wharf. The Yacht is located in Royal Victoria Dock just opposite the Excel exhibition centre.

Job Overview:

As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their stay with us. Your main responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, providing information about hotel facilities and local attractions, and ensuring that our guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience from check-in to check-out.

Duties and responsibilities:

Salary; £14.30 per hour plus upselling commission based on target and service charge allocation.

Shift: Early- 7.00 am to 3.00 pm / Middle -11:00 - 19:30 / Late- 3.00 pm to 11.00 pm/ occasionally night shift may be required to cover holidays.

Full - Time, Flexible hours around 40 per week. Permanent.

· Deliver the highest level of guest experience to everyone, giving all the necessary information regarding the Hotel and providing accurate directions about local attractions and services.

· Assist guests in check in/check out process, following all the legal requirements.

· Answer and direct incoming calls and emails, following company’s etiquette.

· Issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms.

· Maintain clear and accurate records of guest room bookings.

· Liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests.

This list is not exhaustive, and the successful position holder may be required to carry out any task which the Company might reasonably require you to do.

The position fits you if:

· You are passionate, motivated, and able to work in a busy environment.

· Have an excellent command of the English language.

· You are very focused on customer service and have a friendly personality.

· You are able to work a flexible schedule.

· A personality bigger than our continental breakfast spread.

· A sense of humour that can turn even the grumpiest guest into a happy camper.

· Previous experience as a receptionist in a 4–5-star hotel is a plus.

· Knowledge of Shiji or any other PMS system is also a plus.

Eligibility:

In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the UK. Candidates will be required to provide documented evidence of their eligibility to work, including a valid Right to Work (RTW) share code where applicable, as part of the recruitment process.
