At Gastronomy, our vision is to be the most trusted and admired franchise operator, known for our courage, our people-first culture, and our commitment to growing better every day.

We operate KFC restaurants across the North of England, the Midlands, and North Wales, and as we continue to scale, delivering transformational change with pace, clarity and care is at the heart of how we grow.

To support this, we're looking for a Project Manager who brings sharp organisational skills, strong stakeholder instincts and a genuine bias for action, someone who takes real ownership of landing change brilliantly across our business.

This role sits at the centre of how we move forward, shaping how our most important projects are governed, communicated and delivered across our estate.

What you’ll do:

  • You'll lead with courage, owning our portfolio of key projects end to end, holding stakeholders to account, and making sure nothing drifts.
  • You'll act with kindness and collaboration, working closely with restaurant teams, Area Coaches, Central Support and external partners to bring people along with you and make change stick.
  • And you'll embody growth, driving the projects, systems and ways of working that allow our restaurants and our people to perform at their very best.

Sound like you?

Review the full job spec below for responsibilities, what you'll bring, and why this is such an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our business.

About Us

Gastronomy Restaurants Ltd (GFUK) is one of the UK's leading KFC franchise operators. Established in 1996, we operate across the North of England, the Midlands, and North Wales, with support offices in Liverpool, Shrewsbury, and Stoke.

We're a business built on clear values, be bold, be kind, be better and we're in an exciting phase of growth, new store openings, and operational transformation. This is a business that moves fast, invests in its people, and has ambitious plans for the years ahead.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Central Support and Restaurant Excellence, the Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of Gastronomy's key business projects, owning governance, coordinating across internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring change lands properly in our restaurants.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that combines project leadership, stakeholder management, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration. Our 2026 priority projects include a BI transformation (Tahola), workforce management system (WFMS) procurement, and Operating Model 2.0.

Location

Office-based at one of our locations in Liverpool, Shrewsbury, or Stoke, with regular time in restaurants across our estate.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership and Governance

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Gastronomy's key projects with clear governance, pace, and accountability
  • Own the project portfolio, holding project leads and stakeholders to account and ensuring timely progress updates
  • Test new initiatives in a single site before wider rollout — learn fast and adjust quickly
  • Ensure all projects have a clear business case and financial rigour, with visibility on ROI

Change and Communication

  • Define and drive the change and communication approach for each project
  • Make sure people at every level understand what's happening, why it matters, and what's expected of them
  • Inspire and engage teams across the business to deliver plans with confidence

Stakeholder and Supplier Management

  • Coordinate effectively between internal teams, external suppliers, and senior leadership
  • Build strong relationships with Area Coaches, restaurant teams, and KFC's Restaurant Excellence team
  • Manage external partners and third-party contractors throughout all projects

Continuous Improvement

  • Challenge existing processes to make operations simpler and better for our teams and guests
  • Analyse data and performance to identify root causes and build strategies that deliver results
  • Support the development of scalable tools and ways of working that enable future growth

Skills & Experience

  • Proven end-to-end project management experience, including coordinating across multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Background in QSR, hospitality, or retail (desirable)
  • Strong prioritisation skills, able to manage a portfolio of live projects and know what needs to move first
  • A get-it-done mindset, you influence without authority, don't wait for perfect conditions, and hold people to account with fairness
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to engage teams at all levels
  • Strong commercial acumen and confidence working with business cases and financial data
  • Experience managing external partners and third-party contractors
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Able to shift between urgent operational issues and longer-term strategic planning

Benefits

  • Salary: £50,000 per annum
  • Car allowance: £500 per month
  • Competitive pension contribution
  • 28 days holiday increasing with service
  • Career development opportunities within a growing franchise operator

Pay: Up to £50,000.00 per year
