PIQUE

Pique is a Restaurant - Bar in the heart of Gosforth, open for Brunch, lunch and dinner.

We offer a modern South American style menu that specialises in Tacos, Ceviche, Steaks and Brunch favourites. This is served alongside a relaxed cocktail menu focusing on Tequila, Mezcal and Pisco contemporary and classic drinks.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to help lead the team and drive the Performance of the restaurant. We want someone who has a passion for fine food and drink and can bring their own flair and enthusiasm to the role.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience managing a high end, independent Restaurant - Bar – Café
  • A great personality, but with a strong work ethic and team focused approach
  • A guest focused mentality along with a “nothings a problem” mindset
  • Able to provide the team guidance in delivering customer service so objectives are met and whenever possible exceeded
  • Initiative to deal with and resolve staff issues and customer complaints
  • Ensure health and safety and food safety policies are in place and adhered to

Responsibilities

  • Work with the General Manager to ensure service standards are maintained and provide a friendly yet professional service to guests
  • Assist in the inducting and training of all team members so staff are sufficiently trained and knowledgeable of our offering
  • Ensure cleanliness is prioritized and presentation of the restaurant and yourself are immaculate
  • Set up and breakdown the restaurant following checklists and making sure tasks have been completed to standard and within time frames
  • Work with a diverse team and maintain clear communication so all staff are well informed and service standards are maintained

Experience

Previous experience of a manager role in a quality independent or premium brand is desirable. A positive attitude, customer focus and engaging personality are what we are looking for.
