Duty Manager

Location: The Keys, Yarm

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: From £28,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role

Are you a natural leader with a passion for hospitality? We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join the team at The Keys in Yarm.

As part of our fast-paced venue—which spans a bustling restaurant, bar, and vibrant nightclub—you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering an exceptional experience for every guest. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and know how to get the best out of a team, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily running of the venue's restaurant and bar, ensuring flawless service and providing holiday cover for the nightclub when necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, inspire, and motivate front-of-house staff, ensuring all food and beverage orders are handled accurately and efficiently.
  • Guest Relations: Be a visible presence on the floor, proactively welcoming guests and resolving any customer queries or complaints swiftly.
  • Financial Administration: Handle cash management, daily reconciliations, and banking procedures securely and accurately.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all health, safety, licensing, and hygiene regulations across the venue.
  • Venue Standards: Ensure the restaurant, bar, and surrounding areas are kept clean, well-maintained, and presented to the highest standard at all times.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Duty Manager, Bar Supervisor, or in a similar management role within a busy hospitality venue.
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills under pressure.
  • Confidence with cash handling and basic financial admin.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts—including evenings, weekends, and late-night/nightclub cover when required.
