Job Overview
Here at The Punchbowl, we’re located on the North Promenade in Cleethorpes. We have just re opened following a quarter million pound refurbishment.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting menu development alongside the Kitchen Manager and front of house management team, overseeing food production, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food delivery in the KM’s absence.
  • Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene practices
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold brand standards
  • Assist in menu planning by developing new dishes that meet customer preferences and current trends

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
  • Expertise in food production, and food presentation
  • Excellent cooking skills across a range of cuisines
  • Experience in restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service standards
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and kitchen management
  • Previous experience in hospitality or catering roles is highly desirable
