Overview

Due to high demand we are looking for a enthusiastic and focused individual to join our vibrant culinary team as a Kitchen Hand/Cook and be at the heart of creating delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, here at victorias coffee Lounge! This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills, contribute to a welcoming dining experience, and work alongside passionate food enthusiasts. Whether you're an experienced cook or eager to learn, your energy and dedication will help us deliver exceptional service to our guests every day.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely
  • Cook and assemble meals according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene and compliance with health regulations
  • Support the team during busy service times by serving food and attending to guest needs
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed
  • Help with general kitchen duties such as sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal to uphold a clean working environment

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
  • Basic food preparation skills including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
