Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Supervisor to join our Supervisor to oversee daily store operations between Spennymoor and Newton Aycliffe (as required). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing food production and preparation, as well as supervising staff to create a welcoming environment for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage café staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development.
  • Oversee food and production processes
  • Implement and maintain food safety protocols in accordance with health regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on drink preparation techniques, safety practices, and customer service skills.
  • Ensure cleaning standards are maintained to a high standard.
  • Ensure all paperwork is signed off an updated regularly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a café or restaurant setting.
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Strong knowledge of food production techniques and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Experience in hospitality, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with bartending practices is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
