Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. The Restaurant Supervisor will be instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while managing staff efficiently to deliver a seamless dining experience.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas, ensuring smooth service delivery.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards and adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Assist with food production tasks when necessary, supporting the culinary team in preparing dishes to specifications.
  • Monitor restaurant operations during shifts, resolving any issues promptly to uphold customer satisfaction.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and professional team.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, particularly regarding food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Serve as a point of contact for guests, addressing concerns courteously and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with management on menu planning, stock control, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises.
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality services, including serving customers when required.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Experience in food safety protocols and food production processes.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to multitask under pressure.
  • Previous restaurant experience is essential; hotel or barista experience is advantageous.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for guest interaction.
