Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House team member to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant hospitality environment. This role involves engaging with customers, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or catering experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the food service industry.

Duties

  • Welcome guests warmly and manage reservations or seating arrangements efficiently
  • Take orders accurately and relay them promptly to the kitchen staff
  • Serve food and beverages with professionalism and attentiveness
  • Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during service and food preparation
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed
  • Upsell menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities
  • Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change or receipts
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including clearing tables promptly
  • Provide excellent guest services by responding courteously to customer queries or concerns
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift

Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food-related roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is beneficial
  • Familiarity with serving procedures, guest service standards, and upselling techniques will enhance performance
  • Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment while maintaining a friendly demeanour
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Experience in culinary settings or kitchen environments can be an asset but is not essential

Pay: Up to £15.00 per hour
