About Us:
SMA Retreat and Conference Centre, Dromantine is a welcoming and peaceful venue situated in the beautiful surroundings of Dromantine, 96 Glen Road, Newry, BT34 1RH just outside Newry. We host a variety of events including conferences, retreats, and private functions, offering hospitality in a professional and friendly environment.

Job Role:
We are currently seeking, experienced, enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Front of House team on a part time basis. This role involves providing a high standard of customer service to our guests and visitors, ensuring their experience at SMA Retreat & Conference Centre, Dromantine is pleasant and memorable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and assisting guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Serving meals and refreshments in the dining areas
  • Setting up and clearing dining and meeting spaces
  • Ensuring cleanliness and presentation of public areas
  • Supporting the smooth running of events and functions
  • Working collaboratively with the wider hospitality and kitchen teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a hospitality or customer facing role is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Friendly, approachable, and helpful attitude
  • Ability to work flexibly, including days, evenings and weekends
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
  • A commitment to maintaining the peaceful and respectful atmosphere of the Centre
