Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and work within a vibrant culinary setting. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about food, service, and creating welcoming atmospheres for guests.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Clear tables efficiently and assist with setting up the dining area for subsequent guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service stations and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Process payments accurately using the POS system, handling cash or card transactions securely.

Skills

  • Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
  • Experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent time management to handle busy service periods efficiently.
  • Ability to deliver outstanding guest services with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Basic maths skills for bill calculations and cash handling.
  • Upselling skills to promote menu items and maximise sales opportunities.
  • Culinary or restaurant experience that demonstrates familiarity with service standards is preferred. This role offers an engaging environment where you can hone your hospitality expertise while providing exceptional service to our valued guests.
