Bartender – Weekend Evenings (Fri–Sun)

The Tailor's House, 50 Main Street, Ballygawley, Co. Tyrone BT70 2HE

The Tailor's House is an award-winning restaurant with a public bar, a wine shop and six four-star guest rooms in the heart of Ballygawley.

We're looking for a warm, personable Bartender to own our bar on weekend evenings. The job is simple: make our bar the place people choose to spend their Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening – so they come in, stay and come back.

What you'll do

- Host the bar: greet every guest, know the regulars by name and make newcomers feel at home

- Build regulars: turn first visits into weekly habits and keep the bar busy and welcoming all evening

- Pour well: classic cocktails done properly, a good wine list (supported by our wine shop) and a well-kept pint

- Run the late bar: service standards, pace, atmosphere, closing down and cashing up correctly

- Sport nights: host the big games so we're the local place to watch them

- Tell guests what's on: Thursday Steak Night, Sunday lunch, the wine shop and the rooms upstairs

- Lead the shift: support the bar team, keep the bar stocked and tidy, and work closely with the restaurant floor

What we're looking for

- Bar experience in a busy bar or restaurant (supervising a shift is a bonus, not essential)

- Genuine warmth and the confidence to talk to anyone – people should come back because of you

- Good cocktail and wine knowledge, or a real willingness to learn

- Reliable, well presented and calm under pressure

- Able to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings consistently

- Over 18, with the right to work in the UK

Hours

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 5pm until close.

Pay

£13.00 per hour, with training and support from the owner and real ownership of the bar in a well-known local venue.
