Job Overview Catering Assistant - Term time only - Monday to Friday - Experience in Catering required.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the backbone of our catering operations, ensuring smooth food service, exceptional guest experiences, and efficient meal preparations. Your energy and attention to detail will help create memorable events and satisfying dining experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and customer satisfaction are at the forefront.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure high-quality service standards
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly, professional manner while maintaining excellent guest services
  • Support kitchen staff with meal assembly, ingredient handling, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in food prep areas
  • Deliver meals or catering supplies to designated locations within the venue or event site, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
  • Maintain proper food safety practices by adhering to hygiene standards and handling procedures
  • Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with clear communication and courteous phone etiquette
  • Help set up catering stations, dining areas, and event spaces to create an inviting atmosphere for guests

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or catering is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations enhances your ability to excel in this role
  • Experience as a delivery driver or in transportation roles supports efficient logistics tasks
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures is essential
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and vendors effectively
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Prior experience in hotel service, barista roles, or culinary settings is a plus but not required
