Overview
Immediate start, searching for a bread baker ideally with experience in Sourdough.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a keen eye for detail and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and taste.

Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes.
  • Ensure all food production meets safety and hygiene standards, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new recipes and improve existing ones.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the baking area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
  • Assist in training junior kitchen staff in baking techniques and food safety practices.

Skills

  • Proficient in food preparation techniques with a strong understanding of culinary principles.
  • Experience in food production within a restaurant or bakery environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members in the kitchen.
  • A passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes is an asset.
