Restaurant Manager

Argyll Holiday - Hunters Quay, Dunoon, Argyll

Argyll Holidays are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality environment at Hunter Quay Holiday Village, one of Scotland's leading holiday parks.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and service standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Live in accommodation can be provided for the right candidate at a subsidised cost.

Duties

  • Role model the company values and behaviours at all times
  • Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation
  • Deliver superior guest services
  • Ensure the team are familiar with dishes on menus
  • Train and empower team to deal with any complaints
  • Respond efficiently to owner or holidaymaker questions and complaints, where team is unable to satisfy them
  • Organise and supervise shifts
  • Recruit and train new team members
  • Evaluate team member performance
  • Work with Head Chef to estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory
  • Manager restaurant non-food supplies e.g. napkins, menus, cutlery, crockery etc.
  • Control costs and minimize waste
  • Nurture a positive, fun and energetic working environment
  • Lead the team to present an appealing and enticing restaurant space
  • Cellar management (including line cleaning)
  • Delivery management and stock rotation procedures

Skills

  • Demonstrable leadership experience with strong team management capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety protocols
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities combined with hospitality expertise.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and guests alike.
  • Ability to motivate teams towards achieving high standards of service excellence.
