Full job description

Wetherby Whaler Wakefield seeking a dedicated Team Member to join our dynamic Takeaway. As a Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and contributing to the overall success of our establishment.

Duties
- Assist customers in selecting menu items and upselling additional products
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation and maintaining cleanliness
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver efficient service
- Help maintain a tidy and organised takeaway area

  • Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling menu items to enhance their dining experience.
  • Help colleagues during busy periods, demonstrating teamwork and a positive attitude.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely service and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Perform basic maths tasks for accurate order taking and cash handling when necessary.
  • Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

This role is suited to an individual with previous kitchen and takeaway experience, who is confident working in a fast- paced food service environment. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires availability to cover a range of shifts, including days, evenings and at least one weekend day.
