CDP – The Lamp Room, Seaham

Full Time | Competitive Salary | Immediate Start Available

The Lamp Room is looking for an experienced and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at our busy seafront restaurant in Seaham.

We’re looking for someone who is confident in a fast-paced kitchen, is a team player and takes pride and is consisant in the food they produce.

Our menu covers a busy breakfast and daytime service alongside our popular tapas evenings, so this is a varied role that would suit a strong CDP ready for their next challenge.

The role will include:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes consistently to a high standard
  • Supporting the Head Chef and team with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Helping organise prep and ensuring the kitchen is ready for busy services
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and food-safety standards
  • Monitoring stock, wastage and portion control
  • Helping maintain consistency, presentation and quality across all dishes
  • Working closely with the FOH team to deliver a smooth service
  • We’re looking for someone who:
  • Has solid experience working as a CDP, Senior CDP or Sous Chef
  • Is confident running a busy section independently
  • Can remain calm and organised during high-volume services
  • Is dependable, punctual and takes responsibility for their role
  • Has good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen procedures
  • Is a supportive team player with a positive attitude
  • Takes genuine pride in quality and consistency

This is an important role within our kitchen team, so we’re particularly interested in someone looking for a stable, long-term position who wants to become a key part of the business.
