Trainee Supervisor / Trainee Manager – Food & Beverage

Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort, Burnley

Are you an experienced waiter, bartender, barista or hospitality team member looking for the next step in your career?

Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort is looking for a Trainee Supervisor / Trainee Manager to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is ideal for someone who already enjoys working in a busy restaurant, bar, café, hotel or events environment and is now ready to develop their leadership skills.

You may already be the person others turn to during a busy shift. You may be trusted to train new starters, handle guest questions, support the team or keep service moving when things get busy. If so, this could be the right opportunity to help you progress into a more senior role.

About Crow Wood

Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort is a luxury resort in Burnley, home to a hotel, the award-winning Woodland Spa, extensive leisure facilities and a busy Food & Beverage operation across restaurants, bars and events.

Our venues welcome a wide range of guests, including hotel residents, spa guests, leisure club members, event guests and local diners. This creates a varied, fast-paced and professional working environment with genuine opportunities to learn and progress.

The Role

Working alongside our Food & Beverage Management Team, you will receive hands-on training and support to develop into a supervisory or management role.

You will support the day-to-day running of service, assist the Front of House team and learn what it takes to lead a successful shift. This is a development role, but we are looking for someone with the attitude, confidence and work ethic to grow into a position of responsibility.

Depending on experience and business needs, the role may include working across restaurants, bars, lounge service, events and other areas of the resort’s Food & Beverage operation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the smooth running of Food & Beverage service
  • Learning how to lead and organise a Front of House team during shifts
  • Helping to train and support new and existing team members
  • Maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation
  • Assisting with guest enquiries, feedback and service recovery
  • Supporting managers with daily operations and shift organisation
  • Learning opening, closing, cash handling and handover procedures
  • Developing confidence in supervising busy services
  • Working with different teams across the resort where required

What We’re Looking For

You do not need to already be a manager, but you should have experience in hospitality and a genuine desire to progress.
