Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, and talented chef to join our brilliant and unique kitchen team. Tubbs has a great culture in both front of house and kitchen where we look to encourage, improve and provide a brilliant work/ life balance for our employees. We are happy to look at chefs with either a lot of experience or those that are relatively new to the trade as long as they have the right attitude and are the correct character for tubbs. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and smooth workflow
  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to foster teamwork
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
  • Develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
  • Train new staff members in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor food quality during service periods, making adjustments as necessary to meet customer expectations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Demonstrable supervisory experience with team management skills
  • Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A recognised culinary qualification is desirable but not essential; relevant experience is valued highly
  • Good communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
