Job Overview
The Central’s is back! Since the reopening of this iconic venue in Prestwick Main Street we have been overwhelmed with the buzz it has created. The response to date has been hard to believe & after the refit on the 100 year old premises we are moving on to our next project and are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team either here or at our sister venue 'Brass and Granite' in Kilmarnock.

As a Bar Staff member, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. You will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing assistance to customers in a fast-paced environment.

Own transport is essential as you may be required to work in any of our venues across Ayr, Prestwick and Kilmarnock.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Personal licence preferred but not essential.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and responding to inquiries.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Handle card, contactless and cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising POS systems for billing purposes.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic bartending skills or willingness to learn is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide help and support to customers effectively.
  • Excellent time management abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding service are essential.
