Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to support the daily operations of our vibrant hospitality venue. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a solid background in food and beverage management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a lively team environment, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing all aspects of bar operations, including staff supervision, stock management, and customer service.
  • Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding service, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all shifts.
  • Coordinate food preparation and ensure quality standards are met in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise the serving of beverages and food, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Manage daily opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
  • Support in organising training programmes related to food safety, culinary techniques, and hospitality best practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout the venue.
  • Assist with event planning or special functions as required, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, with a focus on food preparation, cooking, or bar service.
  • Supervising experience with team management responsibilities within a busy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with kitchen experience or hotel operations is advantageous.
  • Previous experience as a barista or in serving roles is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality combined with excellent communication skills. This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to develop their career within the hospitality industry while contributing to a lively and professional team environment.
