Matty’s Kitchen is an artisan bakery in Bushey Heath.

Bushey has a wonderful community and we are a big part of this! We aim to bring friends and families together through their love of good food and whilst providing excellent customer service!

Candidates must be confident in the hands-on operation of a shop, to include barista and front of house duties, till operating and assisting customers wherever needed. Most importantly we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about coffee and food, with a particular interest in providing outstanding customer service. The role is flexible with potential growth to manage the behind the scenes of Matty’s Kitchen.

Job description

Front of House Staff / Barista

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Deliver outstanding customer experience at all times whilst maintaining a welcoming clean environment
  • Product knowledge and confidently promote to enhance sales
  • Clean As You Go - Keep all work areas clean at all times
  • Washing up pots, pans + crockery throughout the shift
  • Handcraft hot and cold beverages
  • Maintain high levels of Food Safety + knowledge of allergens
  • Undertake any ad hoc duties as required by the Shift Leader, Supervisor or Manager
  • Assisting in the kitchen when needed
  • Interacting with customers and working as a team

Personal Specification:

· Experience working in a cafe/barista environment

· A good level of spoken and written English and you can understand and are happy to follow instructions

· A passion for good food and a flair for cooking

· Ability to multitask and to spot the smaller details

· Good communication skills to provide excellent customer service

· Ability to make a variety of espresso based hot drinks (training can be given for the right candidate)

Job Types: Full Time (4-5 days per week)

Expected hours: 32 – 45 per week
