We are currently looking for motivated and quality driven full time Complex Care Support Workers / Caregivers in Prestwick to join our growing Homecare Scotland family on a part time or bank basis.

The Client:

Is a man in his early 40s living with an Acquired Brain Injury. He requires both physical and emotional support. He has a very good sense of humour and is looking for someone who can support him in getting back into his interests. He enjoys being out in nature, gardening, music (especially electronic music), film and fly fishing. He requires physical support in order achieve his long-term goals of being able to participate in his outdoor hobbies, days out and to go on holiday with his young family. He would benefit from a carer who is structured, supportive, works within set boundaries and who is motivated. Experience in physiotherapy support, catheter care, dysphagia and PEG would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with social activities, outings and interests
  • Moving & Handling
  • Support with bowel care
  • Assisstance with personal care
  • Support with Physiotherapy Exercises
  • Support with dysphagic feeding
  • High levels of sepsis awareness

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous care experience
  • Have a team player attitude while showing empathy and understanding in demanding situations
  • A great sense of fun and humour, we value developing warm positive relationships with everyone we support
  • Experienced in using tracking hoist, wheelchair and other mobility aids
  • Understanding of acquired brain injuries and the effect on personality
  • A full UK driving licence, the client has an adapted vehicle on the way and is looking forward to going out in it.

Available Shifts:

  • Day Shift Monday – Friday – 08.00 – 16.00
  • Day Shift Saturday - Sunday – 10.00 – 14.00‍
  • Bank/Part Time Only.
