  • Comply with site-specific risk assessments, method statements and all company HSEQ policies; promptly report incidents or near-misses.

Essential skills and qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant construction trade, City & Guilds, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Proven multi-trade experience (minimum 3–5 years) across a combination of carpentry/joinery, plastering, brickwork, roofing or groundworks.
  • Good literacy and numeracy; competent with site measuring and basic materials take-offs.
  • Strong ability to read drawings and follow technical specifications.
  • Comfortable working at height and using access equipment (scaffolding, mobile towers).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to regional sites.

Desirable skills and accreditations

  • PASMA, IPAF, Asbestos awareness, First Aid at Work or similar safety qualifications.
  • Experience coordinating with specialist trades on complex refurbishments and new-build programmes.
  • Experience supervising small teams and producing simple method statements.

  • Adaptable and solution-focused when faced with site constraints or unexpected issues.
