The Role
The Automation Developer (CAD) position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software automation with a focus on CAD applications. This requires end-to-end project ownership, this includes; working with users to understand requirements, analysing user problems and designing solutions to meet them, following best practices to develop and test solutions and supporting developments once in production
The Person
- New Graduates with relevant Degrees /master’s qualifications are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience in developing software or automation solutions desirable
- Previous experience using Parametric Manufacturing CAD software (E.g. Inventor, SolidWorks) would be beneficial but is not required
- Proficient in at least one programming language
- Knowledge of software development practices such as version control (Git) and automated testing and deployment (CI/CD)
- Experience with RPA would be beneficial but is not required
- Strong problem-solving skills and good attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Creation and testing of automation scripts and models for business product configurator.
- Designing and developing general software automation for the business CAD software(s).
- End-to-end project ownership - working with users to understand requirements, analysing user problems and designing effective solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and technology advancements. Researching and reporting on new technologies and systems.
- Working closely with our production teams to maintain and support automation in production, with a focus on process improvement to support development.
