Full job description

EPI-USE Labs is a technology company providing products and specialist professional services to clients worldwide, primarily focused on SAP systems. Our software creations have given birth to many value-added solutions and services.

Everything we do is aimed at using data-focused solutions to create better, faster, more powerful systems to save time and money. We’ve done this for forty years all over the world and a 98% customer retention history is part of our track record. The reasons are not surprising: we work hard, we’re very good at what we do and going the extra mile for clients is standard.

In the last decade our project services teams have expanded rapidly and we now have a wide range of uniquely software-powered transformation services – again primarily for SAP clients – where we execute projects such as: M&A SLO transformations, S/4HANA & Payroll selective data transitions, Privacy apps and clean-up projects (and test environments data scrambling), Functional transformations (e.g. profit centre reorgs, or base unit of measurement conversions) and more.

This job is tied to an initiative to now rapidly expand our SLO project services globally following very strong expansion in Europe. The initiative is led from the UK but with key staff in all regions of the globe and hiring spans the Americas, Europe, the Middle-East, Africa and Asia/Oceania.

  • Full Job Description

We are focused as a technical company that understands the functional side of SAP, so are welcoming of people with experience in both SAP functional and SAP technical roles. We will educate these people to become a master of both. It should be noted that every hire – whether functional or technical – will be cross skilled into a techno-functional consultant who wields our software effectively for our clients requirements.

This is a consulting role and an employee will usually work on many projects in a year – most lasting anything from a few weeks to a year or more.

For this role we seek a professional capable of (i) understanding SAP technical architecture/Basis and it’s data model, (ii) speaking to senior IT leaders about how to build out new SAP landscapes and (iii) experience of working a minimum of five (5) SAP Project lifecycles, (iv) speaking about the SAP data model, having some experience of how it is delivered by SAP.

Our growth in recent years has been partly focused SAP System Landscape Optimisation (SLO) projects; which are generally transformation projects, often focused on supporting Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) activity at our clients or through our channel partners.

We’ll ask this position to work across 1-2 live SLO projects at any one time with parallel responsibilities on other non-SLO projects between these engagements.

  • Essential Skills

Labs people need to be self-sufficient, disciplined and out-going people, who enjoy travel and working with a diverse set of businesses and people. These roles have enormous potential for growth as EPI-USE Labs, within the EPI-USE group, is a SLO specialist company with an exceptional track record in setting up new SAP landscapes as part of M&A deals.

The working life we espouse, although it sometimes involves frequent travel, also offers great flexibility and over time you have the opportunity to carve your own path here.

In the last three years travel requirements have significantly reduced, though we cannot commit to things remaining in the current status quo.

For this specific role it is mandatory to meet these requirements:

  • Minimum of five years SAP experience
  • SAP Basis experience and ideally at least one certification
  • Desirable Skills
  • English + one other languages
  • Knowledge of both R/3 and S/4HANA areas of SAP technically
  • Experience in SAP project lifecycles – ideally three cycles
  • ABAP experience - even if only debugging
  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for working with our PMO for the delivery of projects from start to close – sometime as the sole consultant, sometimes in a team
  • Working in a customer-facing environment with clients in multiple industries and in multiple locations (though our work is at this time primarily remote travel is still required ad hoc)
  • Software implementations projects
  • Data Privacy projects
  • SAP SLO transformation projects (carve outs, CC mergers, etc.)
  • SAP migration to Cloud and new Versions (including S/4HANA, ECP, BW/4HANA & more)
  • Responsible for delivery of documentation to our PMO team as well as for technical delivery
  • Upon request, attending user-groups or SAP events in the appropriate region when requested; promoting EPI-USE Labs
  • Building relationships with colleagues in a positive manner
  • Expected 20-25% travel to customers currently, although this may be more or less Travel might result in being away from home Monday-Friday for periods of time

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
