You’ll work with young people in small groups and 1:1 settings, creating engaging, personalised Science lessons that meet students where they are and help them achieve more than they thought possible.

We’re looking for a teacher who is creative, resilient and passionate about making Science accessible and exciting someone who can build trust, inspire curiosity and help young people overcome barriers to learning.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons up to GCSE level, adapting teaching to individual needs, abilities and learning styles.
  • Create practical, meaningful learning experiences that build knowledge, confidence, independence and a love of Science.
  • Build positive relationships with students and provide calm, consistent support for those who may experience barriers to learning or challenging behaviour.
  • Track progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans, ensuring support is purposeful and responsive.
  • Work collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and other professionals to provide consistent support.
  • Contribute to the development of Science across the school and help create a stimulating learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS, PgCert Ed or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Science to GCSE level.
  • A creative and flexible approach to adapting lessons for individual students and small groups.
  • The resilience and confidence to support young people who may display challenging behaviour or have complex barriers to learning.
  • A genuine belief that every young person can achieve, given the right relationships, support and opportunities.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high-quality education.
