The Role
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring patient healthcare records are maintained accurately and efficiently on the SystmOne clinical system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accurately read-coding patient information onto SystmOne (TPP)
- Reviewing and summarising patient medical histories from electronic and paper records
- Processing clinical correspondence in accordance with practice protocols
- Scanning and attaching patient documentation to healthcare records
- Managing incoming emails, post and correspondence in a timely manner
- Processing Subject Access Requests (SARs)
- Supporting private work administration
- Conducting system searches and reports as required
- Answering telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately
- Providing administrative and secretarial support to clinical and non-clinical staff
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work accurately and efficiently with confidential information
- A confident user of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications
- An effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to prioritise workload and work independently when required
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
Desirable
- Previous experience in a GP practice or healthcare environment
- Experience using SystmOne (TPP)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical coding
- Previous experience of medical records summarising
